Clementine Cream Pastries

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz package of cream cheese
  • 1 TBsp vanilla
  • 2 TBsp honey
  • 5- 6 TBsp Cooks Pantry Clementine Marmalade

DIRECTIONS

  1. Allow cream cheese to soften on the counter for about an hour
  2. Once cream cheese has softened, remove puff pastry from the freezer, and allow it to thaw
  3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  4. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, honey and vanilla, and mix until well blended
  5. Unfold puff pastry and use a cookie cutter to stamp out the shapes of your choice. Remove the excess dough (set it aside to roll out and use for more pastries!)
  6. Using a blunt side of a smaller cookie cutter of the same shape, gently indent the puff pastry to make a light outline (Don’t have another cookie cutter? Use a butter knife and gently trace the shape about a ¼ of an inch near the edge)
  7. Transfer the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto the dough, using the outlines as a border. You may find it helpful to use a piping bag to add the cream cheese, followed by spreading it with a spoon
  9. Add Cooks Pantry Clementine Marmalade on top of the cream cheese
  10. Optional: Lightly brush egg wash (1 egg mixed with 1 TBsp water) along the edges of the dough. This will give the pastry crust a shiny appearance
  11. Bake for 14-15 minutes, or until golden brown
  12. The pastries will be very puffy when you remove them from the oven; they will lose volume as they cool. Let them sit 5-10 minutes, then enjoy!
